General objectives: ►high level development of the research-development-innovation in the Priority domain 3 / Environment, Research direction 3.3 / Protection and ecological reconstruction of the critical areas and the conservation of the protected areas, Research thematic 3.3.3 / Eco-technologies of rehabilitation and ecological reconstruction; contaminated soils remediation technologies in II Research-Development and Innovation National Plan; ►foundation of a national partnership based on complementarity and synergy, in order to provide innovative solutions for the complex remediation problem of soils contaminated by the activities specific to the metallurgical industry; ►development of the human potential and research infrastructure of the project partners in view of the integration within the European Research Area and the successfully access to the funds offered by the European Union by the Framework Program FP 7. ►performance of the project management capable to ensure the achievement of the target impact assessment indicators of the research – development and innovation system in Romania.
Specific objectives: ►Formulation of hypothesis regarding the elaboration of some conceptual models and theories applicable in case of bioremediation of soils contaminated with heavy metals, sulphur dioxide, hydrocarbons; ► elaboration of the innovative solution for biological treatment of soils contaminated with heavy metals, sulphur dioxide, hydrocarbons; ► the research-development of the experimental innovative model of biological treatment of soils contaminated with heavy metals, sulphur dioxide, hydrocarbons; ► the remediation technology of soils contaminated by the activities specific to metallurgical industry; ► Dissemination; ► Formation and training of the personnel.
